Why do we need to use industrial control computers in industrial automation?
The rapid development of industrial technology has taken our automation equipment technology to a new level. Currently, in industrial automation control, we commonly use ordinary computers and industrial control computers in combination to achieve this goal. However, through extensive practical applications, it has been found that industrial control computers are more practical in industrial automation.
So why do we need to use industrial control computers in industrial automation?

1. Ordinary computers are relatively fragile when used in industrial automation and are prone to failure. Frequent maintenance will increase the cost for enterprises. However, industrial control computers are different. They have more stable performance. Although the initial investment cost is higher than that of ordinary computers, in the long run, it is definitely lower than that of ordinary computers.
2. Many industrial automation sites are production lines that need to operate continuously. People can rest, but machines cannot. Ordinary computers cannot be turned on for 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. However, industrial control computers can, which is their advantage.
3. Although ordinary computers are also used in industrial automation, they can only be used in sites with relatively good environments. They have requirements for industrial environments. However, industrial control computers are different. They are special computers that have undergone professional protection and testing in terms of dust-proofing, moisture-proofing, and vibration-proofing, and can be used in any complex and harsh industrial environment with almost no environmental requirements.
4. Ordinary computers have a higher risk of being infected by viruses. Once infected, it can cause the entire industrial production line to shut down, with serious consequences. However, industrial control computers are equipped with industrial control server systems such as Linux and serve, which have higher security and reliability than ordinary Windows systems and a lower risk of being infected by viruses.
   The above simple points can show why we need to use industrial control computers in industrial automation. Industrial control computers will play a greater role in future industrial automation.
